What is Childhood Apraxia of Speech (CAS)?

CAS is a motor planning disorder, which causes low intelligibility. This condition occurs when the body has difficulty coordinating fast and precise movements of the tongue, jaw, lips and is often confused for severe language, or phonological disorders. CAS is not a problem people will outgrow, and typically requires treatment for improvement.
