What are Fluency Disorders (Stuttering)?
Everyone has difficulty with fluency sometimes, Fluency Disorders occur when a person demonstrates more uncontrolled repetition, prolongations, or blocks (unable to speak), than normal. These behaviors are not voluntary, and may be accompanies by secondary anticipatory, or avoidance behaviors such as physical tics, as well as avoidance of specific topics or conversation.
